Christian Gould is a Graphic Designer based out of St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. He began his career working in advertising in 2015, but soon started looking for other ways of fulfilling his creative ambitions, working across multiple creative areas. He currently creates identity systems, websites, iconography, and digital display advertising as a Senior Designer at The Engine is Red (Previously Layout Designer at Periscope).

Clearlight Wellness

Brief

For Clearlight Sauna’s brand refresh, they needed something to elevate their brand to the level their consumers expected it to be at.

At the beginning, we spent a lot of time talking about routine and rituals. The magical moment of the day when nothing matters but the attention you put into that ritual.

The place you go when you use your sauna. Our final brand focuses on highlighting the elegance and utility of the Clearlight products.

While designing this brand, we looked to history for influence on design. The roots of saunaing originates in Finland. For Clearlight, the primary typeface, Sanomat, was sourced from a Finnish newspaper, the Helsingin Sanomat.
